As a semi-professional magician, I am always seeking ways to
increase my online visibility and to build awareness for my magic and comedy
services. Many performers unfamiliar with their marketing options turn to the
Yellow Pages. In instances where a performer is competing for mind share
within a smaller city, this may be a viable, if not a very expensive, option.
But here's an option that is extremely economical and can give you local,
regional and even national reach and awareness. It's called GigSalad.
There may be some folks who feel having one web site is more
than enough, but the truth is the easier you make it for people to find you,
the better your chances for booking new gigs. GigSalad
gives you the additional awareness you need. Once you create an account of
your own, you can upload photos and videos, descriptions about your shows,
rates, etc. When people search for "magicians" by the zip code
74137, I will be listed along with other performers in the region. People can
then drill down to learn more about me, leave a review of my show, or make an
inquiry about a possible gig.

GigSalad
is an extremely well-thought out site. From a performer's perspective, it is
easy to use to create your PromoKit. I was able to set up my account within a
few minutes. It is also easy to use from a booker's perspective. A potential
client can search for the type of performer they want to hire by any number of
categories or zip code proximity. The information is displayed cleanly, and
the site is very easily navigated. The no obligation online quote submission
is also easy to use and captures all of the valuable prospect information you
may require.

GigSalad
currently costs a low $11.99/month for a standard account or $19.99/month for
a Premium account . A free limited account is also available. I went for the
$11.99/month program. It's strictly month-to-month, so I can quit at any time,
but for this low a price, it's pretty hard to beat. If you want more leads and
more visibility, I can't think of a better way to do it. Within the first 24
hours, I had 15 people look at my PromoKit. To learn more, please click here.
