If the word GRKDA is greek to you, there may be a good reason.
While this product may not have the most intuitive and commercial name around, it is
probably the most essential tool a webmaster can have in his or her arsenal of web tools.
GRKDA,
from GR Software, stands for GR Keyword Density Analyzer. What does it do? Many things. It
analyzes your META tags for keywords and keyword description and compares it to the actual
usage of these words within the body of your web page. Armed with this information, you
can improve keyword density percentages and ultimately receive a higher ranking in the
search engines. See the value?
For years I'd seen this product for sale for $99 through various resellers including
Aesop Marketing (Mark Joyner's company) and Planet Ocean Communications among others. I
never quite understood its usefulness until I started learning more about search engines.
As I have said elsewhere in other reviews on this site, search engines provide free
publicity. You can not get such free exposure anywhere else. Millions of people use the
engines daily, and if you have a high ranking in the most popular engines, you are almost
assured of greater web traffic.
The challenge has always been, though, that the engines change their criteria for
ranking web pages constantly. But as time has passed, one thing continues to grow in
importance across most search engines: keyword density and relevance.
Take one look at the change in business strategies of search engines and you'll see
what I mean. Almost all of them have adopted bidding for keywords otherwise known as
"pay-for-placement." This can get expensive for the small businessman, but if
you use GRKDA first, you can submit your web pages to the
free search engines and probably improve your rankings.

The first thing you do is load a web page from your hard drive for
analysis. Then the software displays a table of all of the words it found within the page.
It flags words found in the keyword META tag with a tiny gold key on the left column. It
tells you how many times keywords have been repeated throughout the page, and it indicates
problems with repetition (search engines don't like variations of keywords repeated in
META tags).
Next, you visit a competitor's web site and save a copy of their home page
to your hard drive. Load your competitor's web page into GRKDA
and analyze it, too. Immediately you'll be able to see which keywords they use, how they
use them, and if their keyword density scores higher than yours on similar keywords.
GRKDA is like a webmaster's microscope. It enables
you to look at and compare web pages (both yours and your competitors), and to scrutizine
the use of the keywords found. Then by editing your page and retesting it, you can
gradually improve your keyword density, and improve its ranking in search engines. You
might even be able to beat your competitor . . . unless they are using GRKDA,
too!
While no tool can guarantee you a high ranking in the search engines, this
tool can increase the probability that you will place higher if you take the time to use
it and study the results. For more information, click here.
