Spy and it helps you to do two very important things:
- Reveal which pages on your site are indexed in the major search engines
- Reveal what web sites are cross-linked to your web site
These two things are critical for a webmaster. You need to know your web
pages are registered correctly with the major search engines, and you need to
know who is linking back to you.
Of these two features, I find the link back analysis key to your marketing
efforts if you run an affiliate program or another form of alternate sales
channel. You want to see how many folks are linking to you, how they are
linking to you, and why they are linking to you.
