If you've been wanting to cut down on SPAM and wanting to add some
much-needed communication tools to your web site, have I got a tool for you.
Well, actually not me -- Joel Comm, that wacky AdSense guy who made Google's
of money form text advertising.
My
Contact Station protects your email address from evil email harvesting
robots who steal your web site's email address and then send you SPAM forever.
You know those great emails for Viagra, extenders and letters from your rich
uncle in Nigeria? Well, kiss those emails goodbye, and say hello to my little
friend.

Once you add My
Contact Station to your site, visitors can click on a text link or
button to trigger it and send information in four different ways: a contact
form to send info to you, a feedback form to send anonymous email to you, a
tell-a-friend form to tell up to three friends about your site, or a subscribe
form to join your mailing list -- all from within one, slick, little pop-up
window. Now that's cool.

One of the neatest features about the Contact screen is
the ability to integrate an optional Google Map. You simply follow a few
simple directions, add your latitude and longitude and up pops a map to your
location.

My
Contact Station is a very easy install. It is PHP based and does require
Send Mail and GD Support with FreeType enabled (for Captcha -- that special
feature that asks visitors to type in random characters to make sure they are not some
artificially intelligent robot). My
Contact Station does not require MYSQL or any other
technical skills. You simply edit a few files that include very well commented
instructions.

If your web host does not support Captcha, My
Contact Station includes an
alternative security option that requires your visitor to provide an answer to
a simple mathematical equation. Though it can be fooled (so the hackers tell me) it is a reasonable
alternative to Captcha. The Tell-a-friend feature is pretty cool and will send an
email with a link to
three friends about the page the visitor is on at the time the email is sent.

The subscribe function allows you to add code from your
autoresponder service so it can be integrated into your existing subscription
or registration process.
The Premium version of MCS comes with ten different colored
themes, and you can easily edit the CSS files to changes font sizes, text,
etc. You can also add your own logo to the top of the pop-up, too, to give it
a personal, branded look and feel.
The Basic version of My
Contact Station is presently selling for only $7.00 and includes the
Contact form only. The Premium version of My
Contact Station with all four features sells for
another $27.00. Well worth it in our book. To learn more, please click here.
